Background
ActewAGL kicked off its Solar Grant Program by installing a rooftop solar system to Pegasus, who provide lessons and equestrian activities for riders with a disability. The donation is part of their $100,000 commitment to help local charities and community organisations manage their energy costs.
The Solar Grants Program is one of the initiatives under the Energy Support Fund that will help Pegasus future proof themselves from increases in electricity costs. The 5.4kW system will enable Pegasus to save around $1,000 annually, which can be diverted towards their vital community programs.
